Game Report 2 : Contra

Contra, known as Gryzor in Europe and Oceania, is a 1987 run and gun action game developed and published by Konami originally released as a coin-operated arcade game on February 20, 1987.

Story:

In Contra, the player controls one of two armed military commandos named Bill "Mad Dog" Rizer and Lance "Scorpion" Bean, who are sent on a mission to neutralize a terrorist group called the Red Falcon Organization that is planning to take over the Earth.

Interactivity:

Using up, down, left, right to move the character. Press ‘Z’ key to shoot the gun and ‘X’ key to jump. We can also shoot above by using up arrow key and ‘Z’key together.

Concept:

The main concept of this game is to defeat the aliens from Red Falcon and save the world. The game is designed base on the shooting game, each player will control one contra men to kill the enemies.There have 8 levels in total. The higher the levels, the more difficult to progress and more advanced weapons will be needed to kill the enemies.

Challenge:

Player must handle all the enemies to reach the last level which is the most scary level. The game require the high skill in term of focus and kill the enemies as well as the skill to avoid the huge amount of fire come the player.By hitting the flying weapons, player can easily get the new advanced weapons.

Goal:

The main goal of the contra game is to defeat the aliens from Red Falcon and save the world. In term of enemies, player can either kill or avoid them. If player kill more enemies, they will get higher score.The mission should be completed and explore each levels. Every level is at the different places.
