Report Game 11 : Tetris

    

Interactivity


Tetris  is a tile-matching puzzle video game originally designed and programmed by Alexey Pajitnov in the Soviet Union.

The game (or one of its many variants) is available for nearly every video game console and computer operating system, Mobile phones as well as on devices such as graphing calculators, portable media players, PDAs.

A random sequences of Tetriminos fall down the playing field, player has to create a horizontal line by rotating and moving  the object.


Concept


The objective of the game is very simple the player has to manipulate these Tetriminos, by moving each one sideways and rotating it by 90 degree units, with the aim of creating a horizontal line of ten blocks without gaps. When such a line is created, it disappears, and any block above the deleted line will fall. When a certain number of lines are cleared, the game enters a new level. As the game progresses, each level causes the Tetriminos to fall faster, and the game ends when the stack of Tetriminos reaches the top of the playing field and no new Tetriminos are able to enter.  

There are 7 basic Tetriminos shapes, these are:

  • I Shape
  • J Shape
  • L Shape
  • O Shape
  • Z Shape
  • T Shape
  • S Shape

Story


There is no story to the game, game begins with an empty playing field and A random sequence of Tetriminos falling down the playing field.


Goals


The goal of the game is to make a horizontal line with the Tetriminos. When such line is created , it disappears and the player receives points. The game continues till stack of Tetriminos reaches the top of the playing field and no new Tetriminos are able to enter.  

Setting


AS of today there are many variant of the game. Background music was used in the game for the first time when the game was released on game boy. Each shape is represented by different color.

Challenges


AS the player plays the game the falling speed of the Tetriminos increases which makes the games difficult for the player.



Report Game 10 : Gradius


Interactivity

The interactivity of this game is controlling the plane and defeating all the enemies. Player can use four arrow keys in the keyboard to control the plane to move forward /backward/up and down. Player can press X key to shoot the enemies’ planes. Moreover player should avoid from colliding with enemies plane not to lose life.

Setting

In Gradius game, player can choose whether they want to play alone or two players at the beginning of the game.



Concept

The main concept of this game is to fight all the enemies and complete the goal. Player must defeat the enemies and their leader and make them away from your home. Player will be as a pilot of the Vic Viper. That aircraft is traveling in the lowest speed with basic weapon once the game start at the very beginning. To upgrade the power of Vic Viper, player must collect the power-ups along the way. Player will find two power-ups capsules through the game which include blue capsule and red capsule. The last enemies appear in the chain and red color enemies will leave the red capsule if player can defeat that group of enemies. The blue crash capsule will appear instead of 15 power-ups capsules and it has the ability to destroy all the enemies who appear in the game screen.



Goal

The goal of Gradius game is to defeat all the enemies and meet their leader.



Challenge

Player has to destroy all enemies along the way. He/ She will receive the random power-up capsules if he/ she can defeat some particular enemies.  These enemies will leave behind the power-ups after they had been defeated by the player.

 

Report Game 9 -AssassinsCreed II


 
1. Interactive:
  This decision is going to be based on Player's temperament, and choose different missions.
  There are often several ways to accomplish a task and many options available.
 
 
2. Setting:
 Game Background: visually stunning backdropRenaissance Italy.
The player was played an assassin to foil a terrorist plots.
 
 
3. Goal:
The main goal of the player is to complete all the missions. Player have to defeat all enemys and kill some specific characters to complete the mission.
 
 
4. Challenge:
- Fight with a lot of enemys
 
-  Kill some charactrs who was targeted for assassination. (The number of dangerous enemies is increase and they become tougher to tougher.)
 
- Operate the castle.
 
-  Unlock the mystery to receive some special items.
 
5. Story:
As the seed of assassins, Player must defend the historical and Assassion's Creed. Player have to level up himself and defeat all enemys .
 

Report Game 8 : Adventure Island

    
Hudson's Adventure Island, also known simply as Adventure Island and released in Japan as Takahashi Meijin no Bōken Jima , is a side-scrolling platform game produced by Hudson Soft that was first released in Japan for the Family Computer and MSX on September 12, 1986.

Story:The player controls Master Higgins, a young man whose girlfriend Tina has been kidnapped by King Quiller. To rescue Tina, Higgins must traverse through a series of 32 stages. There are eight worlds called "areas", which are divided four stages or "rounds" each, which are further divided into four checkpoints.

Interactivity:
Using up, down, left, right to move the character. Player also can jump and shoot the enemies.(Have to get weapon first.)


Concept:
The game is designed base on the adventure game, player will control 1 contra men to kill the enemies and run to the end.
Challenge:
gamesMaster Higgins (the player character) loses a life whenever he touches an enemy, an enemy's attack or a fire roast, or when he falls into a pitfall or a body of water. Moreover, the player also has a health gauge that starts out with 11 points, which gradually depletes over time or whenever Higgins trips on a rock in his path. When Higgins' health gauge reaches zero, he will lose a life as well.

Goal:

Report Game 7 : The Yie Ar Kung-Fu

     
                                              

Story:
Yie Ar Kung-Fu the hero, Oolong, controlled by the player. Oolong must fight all the martial arts masters given by the gameunarmed to win the title of "Grand Master" and honor the memory of his father. On his side is a variety of punch and kick blows reachable by combining the joystick with one of the buttons He also has the greatest jumping ability of all the game's fighters, with the exception of "Blues".

Interactivity: 
Player can perform up to 16 different moves,using a combination of buttons and joystick movements while standing, crouching or jumping.



Concept:

The game is designed base on the fighting game.The player faces a variety of opponents, each with a unique appearance and fighting style.Moves are thrown at high, middle, and low levels. When a player win a match, the word  "thank you" will be heard.

Challenge:
player faces a variety of opponents, each with a unique appearance and fighting style. With the level increased, the opponents skill will be better.male characters always fall unconscious lying on their backs with their legs apart, and female characters always fall demurely lying on their sides. Feedle disappears. There are only two female fighters, and the rest are male.

Goal:

 Player must compete for every competition, that is their aim.

Report Game 6 : Super Mario Bros

Super Mario Bros is the famous platformer game by Nintendo, in 1985.

Interactivity:

The core game mechanic is the use of the various keys to move through the map while avoiding enemies. The game is divide into many scenes with different maps and also different monster, at the same time, if the players can get more gold and save more time, they will get a higher scores.


Goals:

 Rescue the princess is the ultimate goal.

Genre:

Super Mario Bros is a platform at heart, requiring you to move through different maps, collecting items and dodging enemies.

Challenge:

At the earlier stages, the enemies are destroyed easily.   Player will have enough time to pass game. The player can jump on the top most of the monsters to kill them. But at later stages enemy behavior gets a little more complex, player must save time, so destroy the enemy is not a good idea. Moreover, The jumping mechanic, can also be a challenge and one wrong move could send the Player falling to his death.


Report Game 5 : Pac-Man


Pac-Manis an arcade game developed by Namco and licensed for distribution in the United States by Midway, in October 1980 and first released in Japan on May 22, 1980.The player controls Pac-Man through a maze, eating pac-dots or pellets. When all pac-dots are eaten, Pac-Man is taken to the next stage.


Interactivity:

Player controls the Pac Man eating pellets through a maze.When the Pac Man eating the bigger pellets,Pac Man will be allow to eat his enemies temporarily. Each enemy has its own characteristic movement, red chases player, pink tries to ambush the player, cyan tries to position himself in front of the Pac Man’s mouth and orange moves randomly.When all pac-dots are eaten, Pac-Man is taken to the next stage.


Concept:
A perfect Pac-Man game occurs when the player achieves the maximum possible score on the first 255 levels (by eating every possible dot, power pellet, fruit, and enemy) without losing a single life, and then scoring as many points as possible in the last level.When the Pac Man eating the bigger pellets,Pac Man will be allow to eat his enemies temporarily. When an enemy is eaten, its eyes remain and return to the centre box where it is regenerated in its normal color.

Challenge:

The total time the enemies become blue and edible becomes shorter. In very high stages, they don’t even become edible, only reverse their directions.The movement of the enemies becomes much faster with the level become higher.

Goal:

The goal of this game is to collect all the dots without getting caught and getting to the next level.  Try to pass every level, at the same time got a higher score.

Report Game 4 : Bomber Man

                                 
Bomber man is developed as a strategic computer video game which is created by Hudson SOFT. The original game was published in 1983 and new games in the series are still being published to this day. Today, the commercially successful Bomberman is featured in over 70 different games.

Story:
The NES and Game Boy versions begin with "Bomberman" growing bored of making bombs in an underground factory of the Bungeling Empire. After hearing a rumor that robots reaching the surface become human, he decides to escape.

Interactivity:
Move, Up, Down, Right to move and using X key to setting up the bomb. The mechanics of this game is to get to the exit door after eliminating all enemies.

Concept:
In this game, there are walls and obstacles; walls are concrete, they are not destructible by any bomb, but obstacles are destructible. if you are in the bomb’s range that you set, you can get killed as well. So, you have to get out of bomb’s range as quickly as possible after you set the bomb.
Challenge:
I think the challenge is to place fewer bombs and kill more enemies with collecting more power ups. Throughout the game, bomber man should pay attention to his lives not to get killed by both his bombs and enemies. Player have to get out of bomb’s range as quickly as possible after you set the bomb. The player will have to play carefully that game, if he wants to get to the final level. So, the player who plays this game will not feel bored.


Goal:
The main goal is to get to the exit door in the game which is mostly activated when all the enemies are eliminated. If you can manage to get into the door, you will advance to the next level.
